Good Day out at Southern Cross

A couple of weeks ago i went for a swing out just Nth of Southern Cross, a quick stop in at the bakery
at Merredin and back on the road in no time, the weather was perfect at the Cross 27c and sunny.

Anyway, when i got to my designated spot out came the 5000 fitted with the commander 11" Mono,
a quick tune up and off i went, well i had only walked about 20ft and Bang! a nice little
nuggy,
hmmm nice goin i thought, less than 5 minutes and i had my first nugget 1.7g
and this went on for about 4 hrs roughly, until i had to pack it in for the drive home, all in all it
was a great day out and the finds weren't to shabby either, all up my tally went 14 nuggets for just
under 7 grams.

Oh and the usual bullets and buttons etc.

yeah thats pretty much our closest gold to perth (371 klm) but if you think outside the
square you can actually do not to bad there, most ppl here never stop in there they just keep heading out to coolgardie then kal.
