What is anyone's thought on a GPX 4800 vs GPX 4500, just curious as i am looking at getting a 4800. Is this worth buying ??? scratch

A new 4500 at $4199 or a 4800 at $4950 no contest I would get the 4500 every time, it has more timings and settings than the 4800

Minelab know this as it was one very good machine and they have reintroduced it the all the markets not just the Africans

I was told that the gpx4800 was primarily made for the coin and relic market in Europe rather than being intended for use as a gold detector, in any case I would most certainly choose the 4500 over the 4800 for what we do.

I kept my 4500 when I bought the 5000, and still preferred the 4500 and resold the 5000, still get consistent gold every trip with it, its paid for itself many times over, cant ask any more than that.
