Mate, if you're thinking of upgrading, spend a few extra sheckles and get the 4500, they're that much better than the 4000 it's a joke.

There are some people who got a good 4000 and prefer them to a later model, the mods tell me
the 4000 has twice as much gain as the 4500, still goes up to 15, but double the gain of the 45.
To me you would need moderate ground and the normal timing to be better than a 45.

I am in Bendigo, Vic, if anyone is interested my 4000 has 6 coils, including 24 inch coiltek DD, 18 inch and 24 inch nuggetfinders, old models,....18 inch DD minelab, 11 inch DD. And a kevlar 18 inch Minelab mono..old one. Green.
