raining in Ktown--pics

well its finally happened--its raining
at one stage there I thought we were going to have a drought --3 months into the cyclone season and still bugger all rain.

geez some of those station cattle will be kicking there heals up with the next green pick...coz the vast majority are now being hand fed coz theres stuff all on the ground to nibble on let alone eat.

A heavy deluge and a bit of erosion and away we go again...we make good environmentalists....stuff em.

Yeah it rained out here too, about 80k's south of Hedland
Heading back to Hedland after visiting Mr Gold in Karratha and the mates temp gauge started going off the scale, just needed a kettle whistle because we had plenty of steam, finally got it going and tried to nurse it by pulling over now n then but water was in short supply, so whilst we were sitting there we were watching a storm coming our way, luckily we managed to pull up in a parking bay smack bang in the middle of it

for some of u city slickers u may think no big deal--its raining all the time down south--but up here its a very welcome site in the last 4 months..

another storm rolling through Hedland right now, todays storm south was the first decent rain i've seen in 6 months since leaving the eastern states
