anybody had any experience with these or heard about them ,might be handy if u n mate are cutting scrub in opposite directions.

Yes have two of them Mark, we managed to buy the two for price of one - $300.00 from a Johnny A promotion.
Can definitely recommend, the ability to text short private messages is an asset if others are in the area.

How was the topo side of it , u wouldnt happen to know if the latest data had anything on the Pilbara in it.
If so might hang on to the next special on them..

No you would need to load topo maps, we don't use it for that just communication and getting back to the vehicle/camp.

mate just my opinion i would not get them again. a pain to get to work with ozi, they interfere with your detector like crazy when talking and not talking they are fairly heavy for what they are.
like nightjar says the ablility to send messages or coordinates is good but i would just have a simple gps again any day and a two way

Tried Ozi on a mini card worked fine, but reverted to just using the laptop to get to areas and then actually kick rocks, by far the best tried and proven method.
Carried in a pouch on the detector belt, don't know it is there until "mrs goldfinder" yells or texts "got another one".. :-)
Have never had a problem with interference, we are both using GPX-4500.
