How to read Geo Maps What to look for
Hi All,
Been trying to use the Geo Maps but don't know what to look for.
Ben finding a bit of gold on CZF and CZL but what other types of rock can sometimes be associated with GOLD.
Thanks to those who help.

Madmax, granite type ground as well as greenstone are areas well worth looking, eg: wilsons patch

also where you find BIF or ACL banded ironstone formation and Q, QZl quartz, around mt wilson its the AOD dolerite/basalt and Abb metabasalt regions. not always the same but so best to just look at what is on the map where the mines are found and find similar ground nearby and every geomap seem to use different colours legends making it harder.

Look for faults in the older rock types around where the Ab and Ag ones meet. The nearby Czl are newer laterites that have chemically weathered from the older rocks. They can be good for nuggets as the gold has been leached out the bed rock and reforms as enriched nuggets.

G'day Trent, good to see you back on the forum and chipping in with helpful advice, I saw one of your recent vids on utube. Looks like you have it all sorted on your lease, will have to catch up and have that beer, maybe next year.
