I guess my hands are tied as the wife is a mad dockers supporter, personally i'm a kanga;s fan but I know there is a photo off me as a young fella wearing a hawks jumper. young Michael walters is a former neighbour off mine and I get along with his old man when I see him.
tight game in my opinion i'm hoping freo but i'm thinking hawks as they will be hurting from last years game., looking wet and windy which won't help hawks cause.

Know how ya feel Cliff, the cats lost 4 grand finals between 89 and 95, at least the Dockers had a real go after half time and for a while the Hawks looked like they might fold, felt a bit sorry for old Pav, yep theres always next year.

i agree about some of the shocking umpire decisions in the first quarter at least. tough when your up against a great team as well,
good effort all round..... next year.

Even I watched most of it!! The first quarter set the pattern. Freo were all fast, panicky, disorganised, looking like a team that were out of thier depth. The Third quarter was good and I too thought they were gonna get all over Hawthorn and win the day. But Hawthorn seemed to have another cuppla gears and they ran off with it in the 4th.

Real shame, but good on Freo for getting there.

The Channel Ten sports guy, Locki Riley said it best,,,,,,,,,"It looked like The Dockers left their "A" game at home".

Thank Christ for that!! It's not the game that I dislike, it's the never ending analysis of the each game from Monday to Sunday for a whole season. It's on the every radio station, the TV, shopping centres, etc,etc. It's worse than when I was working and living in Islamic countries. The "call to prayer" was belted out from loudspeakers on every mosque tower, and there was one of them every few hundred metres!! It went something like, "Bwaaaa;;;;llalllllhhhhhhaaahhhh! Fagaaallallllaaahhh, Gibbbeeerrrriiiiiiisssshhhaahhhhh, riceforbreakfastalalllaa, currybuttiesaassaallah,,,,,getyourchipshereallah on and on and on and on and on,,,,," All day, every 4 hours, even at midnight and then again at 4.00 am!! I was surprised anyone got enough sleep to get through a day's work!

Same here on the radio,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,on and on and on and on,,,,,,,,,,,, "He had seventeen touches, kicked three goals, fourteen clearances, sixty five handpasses, two handstands, a cheeseburger,,,,,, with fries,,,,, a coke, a crap during half-time, a boil on his bum, he corked his hammy with his cruciate ligament,,,,,,,,,and on and on and on,,,,,,,,"

Other than that, it's not bad sport.

Hey Cat,  Thats one of the funniest things I've read for a long time , thanks for the laughs & cheering me up, I was in tears, if you ever get sick of mining or prospecting-  you must give comedy a go!  
Ps  If Dockers had of kicked straight from all the chances they had & stopped slippin over & constantly spilling marks the cup would have been in WA by now-  how was Ballantynes form  Cheers from a Tiger supporter
