Hi Guys

For those that dont know what a "Quacky Duck" is, its an efectionate WA name for the Fisher Goldbug 2
Super sensetive 71khz VLF detector, these lil bewdy's are built from the ground up for one sole purpose
and thats to find small gold.
Sure, like all VLF's they can suffer in hot ground but you can actually tame the GB2 down fairly well with
a few tweaks of the dials, we call em Quacky Ducks in WA because of the Quack like signal they give
on gold.
They run on 2 x 9v battery's and you get about 40hrs runtime on a set of em, and they are also quiet
cheap to purchase.

I had one (GB2) Pete and found heaps with it in New Zealand on a trip but it was no good in Qld as I could get no depth. They are amazing if there is no real hot ground. They still work fine, just bugger all depth.
I am going to get the new GB Pro soon all going well as it is brilliant. Yes, I have used one. I think Narrawa got one as well? Can't remember for sure if it was him.

Around 2½" maximum in highly min soil. The GB Pro is around 17khz and has better depth and is still super sensitive.

Ive dug 2 grammers at 6 - 8 inch, but they are made for tiny bits close to the surface, but
since the 5000's been out they pull the same tiny stuff but run quieter.
Its all about the price..
