Keep an eye out Empty FOUND

Post by Guest Sun 23 Sep 2012, 2:09 pm

RESCUE authorities have located three overdue prospectors who were reported missing in the remote Pilbara since Monday.

The trio, missing near Paraburdoo in the Pilbara since Monday, were found mid-morning.

Police, SES and the Karratha Flying Services had been searching on the ground and from the air for the three prospectors.

Two men, one aged 44, and a 51-year-old woman left Geraldton on September 11 and were expected to return last Monday.

The trio were prospecting for gold at Rocklea Station near Paraburdoo and are travelling in a Mitsubishi Triton utility.

Good to hear they were found but it never ceases to amaze me how people can get lost these days. We have all the modern technology available to us but people still get lost. It dumbfounds me but what more can ya say.

My thoughts exactly Cliff, accidents do happen but can also be avoided real easy too.
For $1000 you get a UHF in the truck, an Epirb and 2 x Uhf walkies..... job done.
