We have launched a petition to show the Queensland government the support in the community for fossicking and prospecting in Queensland state forests. We are getting good progress on this issue, but the more support we can show the better an argument we have.
Please promote this in any other forums you may visit if possible, signatures from overseas will reinforce the fact that there tourists wanting to come to Queensland to find gold!

Thanks everyone us Queenslanders really appreciate your support.
The government in Tasmania has banned sluicing now.
Queensland just lost 50% of one of the two main designated fossicking areas we had in the Gympie goldfields to Landcare Australia for creek refurbishment a real stealth attack.
It seems Victoria, NSW and WA are the only states we can go and prospect in relative peace now.
They took away our miners right in 1989 after 150 years of it regulating prospectors and miners well and then started to lock up vast swathes of land with sweeping legislation that affects every state Native Title, Environmental, Landcare, Wild Rivers, the list goes on. Its now beyond a joke and we must act we need a national body to speak on our behalf and end the lunacy. :zd;poghjw:
End of rant. :eureka:
