Better than Google earth!

The site does and can have some hickups, but the clarity is so so so much better!

I have usd it a bit, there still are plenty of areas that can't be seen yet (same with GE though) it will be a great tool when they get it sorted out, plus with the use of it within Oziexplorer now is an absolute winner

Its good for Town and heavy populated areas of Aus, but crap for WA outback regions, the best
for WA goldfields is the Landgate map viewer, best clarity and updated for WA very often..

just remember Google images are about 6 years old--they dont want u to see too much detail..

Not all images are 6 years old on google, they get updated in many areas fairly often, the images of our area here is flooded so only 12months old.

You are right about them not wanting us to see too much, I found some very interesting stuff in the outback, images were only there for about a month then they were not seen (photo shoped out or the like)

You won't find many working mine sites on any of them either. Protection from terrorists I believe.

My eldest son works on the mines at Roxby Downs in SA, so we GE'd it when he was last over "Their hiding something"??

Changed to Nearmaps, it was better but marginal! GE'd the spot I go to, average! same spot with Nearmaps, you can see branch's on the ground. Pretty good!
