trying new HF Deus coil

Hi all, I have just bought the XP Deus HF elliptical coil for coin and relic hunting when I get back to the uk at the end of the month but I would like to ty it out here just for the hell of it. I have been told that the end of lovers lane, Toodyay, is possibly the nearest to have a go....Is this a reasonable place to try...also is it ok to detect in rivers ?  I do have a miners permit...

Gday mate, most people here are just chasing yellow out in the scrub.
Pretty sure you're not allowed to detect in townsites and most of the country you're looking at will be private property so you will have to do some door knocking. If you can find somewhere thats State Forest (not National Park) and not a live Tenement, you could try there.
