I am getting my gear ready for next season and have just purchased a KTI plb( personal locating beacon ).It comes with a ten year warranty,reflective mirror and strap to attach around your arm and $259 price tag.The only catch is you have to spend at least $300 in order to get free postage.To overcome this myself and two other forum members arranged to puchase them together.This store was the cheapest around including fleay bay.Have now attached the link.

I was in Whitworths Marine a couple of days ago and spotted this on special. I have been thinking about a PLB for some time now and just decided to get one:

I like its compact size, because after I’ve put on my belt & pick, hipstick, headphones, GPS, two way radio, water bottle and survival pouch, I’m running out of places on my body to hang things

I sometimes think that an astronaut going to the moon could get ready quicker than me going out detecting!
