DMP "Locate" in google earth

Anyone downloaded this function yet.  Looks like an excellent tool for research.

Yep I use "locate". get the best clearest view so far. Havent used the minedex function yet though, when I get to an area im want to view I have to go into my start panel and find the locate file to make it work each time though, not a drama but sure do get a better colour and clearer view so I can zoom in closer.
Good tool.

It's ok I have managed to locate this, am going to download later and have a play.

We used this to locate a pending lease north of Kookynie. We gave it a go and found a little 1.44g nugget. While we were there we saw somebody arrive at the caravan so thinking it was the guy with the pending lease we dropped in for a chat on our way out.
It worked out that we were actually standing on his lease next to the pending but our Google Earth on the Mac clearly showed us to be on the pending lease next door. Martin and Steve turned up the following day and had conflicting boundaries on their computers.
I have my doubts that the Locate data on Google Earth is accurate enough. We need to use it because we can't get GeoMaps on the Mac and Tengraph is useless if you're trying to find an access track or road into somewhere.

Even DMP will tell you that the coords on tengraph aren't particularly accurate. it's in black and white on their site.
so what chance do we have. mistakes are made and as ya say, if ya can't trust g/earth, tengraph or any other bloody mapping system then just go for it.
you can only be told to move on.

just to clarify what Moneybox said both Steve and Phil had us located on the pending lease from their mapping setup, phil had G/E running on a Mac and Steve from memory had oziexplorer using geomaps (correct me if i am incorrect Steve), I was using G/E on my laptop running windows 8 and had all tenements overlayed but it clearly showed us on the granted lease by about 50mt, i use the GPS mouse BU353 SiRF Star-III and is very accurate and proved itself on this occasion. the tenements overlay was also spot on at the time but at the end of the day it is your responsibility to ensure it is correct after every download.
