What is the smallest
What is the smallest nugget you have found, and what detector and coil????
The smallest nugget I have come up with was .05g using ML4500 with NF 14x7

Re: What is the smallest
No idea, my tiny bit of gold wouldn't make my .01 scales do anything!
It was in a rock crevice so may not have been the original signal??

Re: What is the smallest
This is the smallest bit I have found, dunno what it weighs as my scales are not sensitive enough to register it.
Was found with the following.
Detector:GPX 5000
Coil: Nugget finder 17" elip
Timing: Fine Gold
Rx Gain: 14
Stabilizer: 7
Depth: Was shallow almost surface.
Ground: High mineralization, fine Iron stone pebble wash.

It was a very iffy signal, but a signal, speci sunbaker.....the minute piece flaked off the host rock during cleaning.

.01 that would be small, I thought my .05 wouldn't be detectable, but it came with a signal, up till then the smallest has only been .2 nothing smaller would give a signal, I've played around with the settings a bit
