Find the Gold in the Poo !

Found this 1.6g nuggie and close by was this pile of Rabbit Poo. Could it be we have a gold eating rabbit on the loose around Sandstone ?

be stuffed if i can see it   must be my bad eyes and probably why I dont find sun bakers   seen a fellow pick up 6 or so little nuggets in the mound piles around there burrows that they dug up. emu are suppose to eat them and you can find them in their poo.

That piece of gold is very like the gold we got from Poona except the gold we found was totally covered with an ironstone and looked for all intents and purposes as a piece of gravel stone or laterite

That nuggy of yours is the way they looked when we cleaned them up and very cylindrical in shape, maybe we should have fed ours to the rabbits to clean em up!!!!

Poona Ron what I recall was hammered even 10 years ago , reefs found .the only joy I got was on top of the breakaway westerly picking up bits n bobs following the blue quartz that runs along there .

I got a story to tell, Bruce Legendre called into the caravan park and I happened to recognize his name had a quick chat and he said I've got an area we could try out at Poona

He said drive down this road and you will see an area that's worth having a go on, olde greenstone everywhere, quartz and pisolite everywhere...looked good, but then I spotted red Jasper pieces on the ground and the missus liked all the real small pisolite so we stopped

You go that way and i'll go this way, anyway we were both heading in the same direction(I was fudging a bit) and decided to peal off and have a wander

I got one!!, I hear on the radio!!, so I wanders back and that was our first patch out there(6.5ozs), taking day about for a week or so(driving 75km from Cue everyday) I got bored and went for a drive...bang another patch!!!

Another 6.5ozs later and the brother stayed and raked for another 1.5ozs, so within a couple of months a return of 14.5 ozs(thank you Bruce) and Bruce had another viable gold lease, although only Nickel was thought to be there

Anyways if you look up the Wamex report for the area our names are there in print forever as finding two patches out very near Poona

This gold came from ironstone pegs in olde greenstone ground, very satisfying for us both

Man it's a small world read that wamex report and hit that spot last year   Picked a few up but you guys cleaned her up pretty well
I'm sure there are a few more patches to be found in the area....
